It’s no secret that yoga and focused breathing /relaxation is one of the best things you can do to relieve stress and anxiety and strengthen, stretch and tone the body. The relaxation-inducing practice has been shown to lower stress levels, fight depression and reduce inflammation and for mums-to-be, pregnancy yoga practice can not only relieve stress but also contribute to a healthier pregnancy. My classes, using gentle, targeted exercises/movements and poses have all been specifically adapted for pregnancy under the guidance of a midwife, physiotherapist and yoga teacher. To help strengthen your body, soothe away any aches and pains such as lower back pain and relax your mind in preparation for the birth of your beautiful baby. You will also learn simple massage techniques which you and your partner can do at home. It’s a great way of meeting other mums to be and many of my previous yogic mums to- be continue to meet up after their babies have been born. At the end of every session we do a deep guided relaxation, where tension is released from the body on a physical level and your mind is totally relaxed.
You will leave my class feeling relaxed, energised and de-stressed.
